Vengeful Binge

Here’s What’s New on Netflix in October 2021

Happy spooky season, y’all! October is here and, as usual, Netflix is loaded up with all kinds of new seasonal content, from creepy to kid-friendly to downright scary thanks to their annual Netflix & Chills lineup. This year’s titles already started rolling out in September, including the delightful gateway horror movie Nightbooks and the sudden binge-watching sensation Squid Game, and this month brings even more, including the horror-comedy The Trip; There’s Someone Inside Your House, a new slasher from the director of Creep; and Night Teeth, the vampire film starring Sydney Sweeney and Megan Fox. In the realm of series, this month’s spooky debuts include Locke & Key Season 2 and the return of Penn Badgley‘s captivating killer Joe Goldberg in You Season 3.

But it’s not all spooky stuff! Other Netflix originals of note in October include returning favorites like On My Block and The Baby-Sitters Club, new debuts including the Ava DuVernay-produced Colin Kaepernick docuseries Colin in Black and White, and a few high-profile films including the Jake Gyllenhaal thriller The Guilty and the Army of the Dead prequel Army of Thieves.

As for the library titles, new film arrivals include favorites like Zodiac, Spy Kids movies, Insidious Chapter 2, and A Knight’s Tale. But it’s the TV titles that have a few long-awaited arrivals: all nine seasons of the sitcom classic Seinfeld are now streaming on Netflix at last! Additionally, Shameless fans can finally watch Season 11 on the streamer, while The Blacklist fans can finally stream Season 8.
